Steve Mathews:
Steve is the founder/owner and head "audio mechanic" at
the Radio Garage. (He started the business in his garage--hence
"Radio Garage"). Beginning his career in radio at a tender
age, he has run the gamut from morning man to program director
and back again. But Steve's first love has always been creating,
producing and voicing great audio. Steve has won numerous
awards locally (including "Voice-Talent of the Year 1990"),
regionally and nationally for his work. We like to refer to
him as our "resident vocal chameleon" because he can do so
many 'shadings' with his voice. From hard sell to warm and
fuzzy, to "Garfield" like to your man on the street, to...and
the list goes on and on. Today, Steve lives full-time
at the Sunnydale Arboretum under the care of a professional
Horitculturalist. He continues to steer the ship of commerce
that is The Radio Garage. Friends are constantly amazed at
his apparent ability to function at a "near normal"
level after what happened in 2000 and again in 2004.

Jay Weiss:
Jay has been in radio longer than there's been dirt. Starting
at the tender age of 18, Jay clawed and scratched his way
to the top of the airwaves in Washington, Iowa. Then, he knew
there was more and moved on to dominate the ratings in Des
Moines, working with Steve Mathews at KIOA. Steve drafted
him into service at the Radio Garage in 1998 and Jay has been
an indentured servant ever since. Jay has done national voice
over work for some of the biggest companies. His straight
ahead announcer
style makes him a natural for tons of audio projects. Oh,
did we mention, he's also one hell of an engineer, putting
together more award winning commercials than you can shake
a stick at.

Mike Meacham:
Mike owned and operated Avatar Productions in Des Moines
for over 17 years before becoming a part of the Radio Garage
group of audio addicts. Another radio refugee, Mike
is also an incredible voice talent and engineer. Mike
is our guru when it comes to putting together original music.
Mike has also been voted "Voice Talent of the Year", and today
boasts dozens of awards for both talent and engineering.

Mike Pace:
Seen by millions of Americans twice a week as emcee of
the Powerball drawings, Mike is one of the most recognized
men in America. Hosting several weekly television shows and
appearing in numerous films, Mike is sought after as an actor,
narrator and host. Mike has won national and international
awards for his work in television, film and audio projects.
(Mike was voted "Voice Talent of the Year 1991). He's done
voice work for Ford Motor Company, Ciba-Giegy, NAPA, Buick,
Toyota and Pontiac. Some talents can be warm and fuzzy...Mike's
hot and fuzzy.

Jeff Martin:
Like the rest of us at Radio Garage, Jeff is another radio
refugee. After many years of schlepping radio commercials
for some of Des Moines' favorite stations, he stumbled into
Radio Garage to have his truck serviced, found out what we
were really up to and never left. Jeff is an above average
bowler, a hack golfer and can nap with his eyes open. He is
a singer and plays guitar and could be the voice of your next
commercial. The next time you call Radio Garage, Jeff may
answer the phone-be gentle, he is our youngest.
