Iowa Motion Picture Association Winners
Mike Pace and I hosted the IMPA Awards ceremonies last Saturday night..and what a night it was. Kudos go out to all of winners. In particular we want to congratulate Tammy Brice for winning Best Actress for 2010, and, yes, I won Best Actor for 2010. My arm's still tired from patting myself on the back. Again, congratulations to Tammy and my personal thanks to the judges. Honest..I'm humbled.
That Old Band 'O Mine
Through high school and into college, I was a drummer in a rock and roll band. I know, it's hard to believe I can do anything other than talk, but it's true. And that band, Con Brio, was inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last Fall. We'll be playing for an Iowa Rock & Roll Music Association fundraiser on July 31st in Glenwood, Iowa then again September 25th in Shenandoah. I'll try to keep you in the loop.
We're So Proud
Our Spring Voice Class graduated an a hoidy toidy affair here at the old Radio Garage recently. Yes, there was pizza and diplomas and everything. We'll be holding another class this Fall. Keep checking here for more details, or give Jeff a call if you want in on the list.
